What to Expect
After booking a session, you will receive a confirmation email.
If you booked a face-to-face consultation, the email will also contain details of how to get here and parking options.
If you booked for an online session, the email will have a link to be used on the date and time of our appointment. The link will direct you to a virtual room on Zoom.
On our first session, you will spend 55 minutes with me discussing your issues and answering questions about your background, current lifestyle, and health. We also use the first session to think about goals and expectations for our work together. This is also a good opportunity for you to ask me questions and understand my style of work. The initial consultation is free of charge.
How often you attend therapy is ultimately up to you. Some people find they need weekly or fortnightly support, especially at the start of therapy; others attend less frequently. You can also choose to have “top up” sessions, at difficult times when you feel you need the extra support. The latter option is recommended for clients who have worked with me previously, and I am familiar with their context.
